The Newest Brunch Spot To Hit Eugene: Bari Trattoria

The Newest Brunch Spot To Hit Eugene: Bari Trattoria

Hello lovelies

This weekend, I tried Bari’s first Sunday brunch. As an eternal brunch lover, I had to check out their small but quaint menu and of course report back to you how it was.

After talking to our waiter, this was something Bari was just “trying” out to see how the public would respond to it. If you haven’t been to Bari in the Whitaker District, it’s an Italian place that specializes in pasta dishes, pizzas and overall delish affordable food. When they first opened I was there two times in one week — that’s how good it is.

Today we were there for the brunch and hadn’t been in so long I had forgotten its amazingness. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the breakfast sandwich. Honestly, being there for brunch reminded me how much I LOVE Bari. Their outdoor area is AMAZING, the food is great, dare I say the most savory food I’ve had in a while. While Oregon in general has great food, I find it hard to find a great place in Eugene that I could find myself going back to over and over again. With six options on their brunch menu and a full mimosa bar, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

The classic eggs Benedict

My eggs Benedict came with pancetta which was actually a nice change and the perfect combo. Sometimes I feel that the classic ham is too thick to cut through the sourdough making it not really as pleasant of an experience. I also have been to many places that overdrench the eggs Benedict in the hollandaise sauce which leaves the bread absolutely soggy. This was not the case with this Benedict. It was the perfect mixture of sauce and meat. The Breakfast Sandwich

Let me start by saying I am an absolute sucker for breakfast sandwiches. While I didn’t order it, my boyfriend expressed how absolutely delicious it was. I took a bite out of it and had decided that this was what I was going to order next time! There was a savory jam smothered on the top of the bread that was absolutely divine. It was unlike something I’ve tasted before.

Overall, I had a great experience at Bari. I’m excited to see how they expand their menu and can’t wait to go back!

If you haven’t tried Bari yet for dinner of for brunch, I highly recommend it. Bari is located off of Blair Blvd right across from Sam Bonds Brewery. On Wednesday’s they have wine night and on some nights they have live music!

Let me know your thoughts if you end up checking out their brunch or dinner!

  • I am the brunch chef at Bari and love the menu as well as the opportunity to serve the Whitaker neighborhood. We have the classics dialed in and are exploring some awesome specials over the next few weeks. I genuinely love cooking in a scratch kitchen and encourage everyone to check out what we have to offer, be it brunch or dinner, a lot of love goes into out food.
