I’m so happy summer is finally here! Man this weekend was a scorcher which meant it was time to bring out the summer dresses. I decided to go a little bit more revealing now that the temps are perfect for breezy dresses. I met up with a local blogger in Corvallis in their cute little downtown area (which I’m seriously obsessed with) and wore a lace and floral number that was seriously so fierce.
Most of you know my obsession with BCBGeneration, they have literally the cutest pieces ever so I had been saving this goodie for a good warm day. The front detail makes it a little sexier than most dresses that I own and I’m so inspired by festival looks that I wore my trusty black medallion hat and my black booties from Via Spiga. While most people love wearing sandals over the summer, I’m more of a booties gal. It’s so easy to just throw on my favorite booties on and pair it with a dress. I even threw on a handmade choker that I literally made from an old dress that came as a belt.
With that being said, if you’re like me and hate sandals, your next go-to are simple black booties (or even brown ones). Style it with a hat and accessories and you’re brunch, festival or just ready to take on the day!
We met at Bellhop which was different than most brunch places I’ve been to around here. The indoor area was so cute with upholstered pink bar stools and a bar that was to die for you’d want it installed in your own house. I went with something a little more adventurous (I know shocker!) and got the Kim Chi Fried Rice with a rhubarb Paloma cocktail which was just so refreshing and even matched my outfit. Danielle got the pork belly hash which was a big serving and definitely a must-have if you’re starving. She got a mimosa to pair with her savoy meal.
Scroll down to see some of the yumminess and that dress that seriously turned heads because I may have been showing a little more boob ( actually a lot more) than usual.
What’s your favorite piece to wear that’s a little more fierce than what you normally would wear?
