My Fourth of July Brunch Essentials
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! I literally spent five days basking in the sun, being extremely productive, meeting with bloggers, setting up meetings and collaborations and enjoying some BBQing with friends. It was a very busy vacation but it’s crazy what you can do with your time off! It felt really good to focus all my energy on my blog and do all the things I love. I went to brunch I think twice and tried some new spots I’ve been meaning to try. The weather was perfect so I decided to bring out some of my favorites!
One of the most memorable brunches that I’ve had in a long time was this passed Sunday. For me to say that I’d say it’s pretty big. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve had a lot of delicious food but nothing compared to the experience I had this past weekend.
As usual my blogger friend and I met for our usual monthly meet-up and I picked a place I’ve been meaning to try (she loves when I pick fun places cause it’s always an adventure!)
We headed over Lion and Owl, a 1970s style airstream that holds a restaurant and quaint kitchen inside. Since the weather allowed I wanted to be sporting my fave red, white and blue outfit without over doing it. I recently got this new straw hat cause I had been DYING to get one that says 5 o’clock somewhere” (very me if you know me) and had to wear it to brunch with my fave Shein bell sleeve top and a pair of LF crochet shorts. I finished my look off with my new Lucky Brand booties and a pair of bold statement earrings from SugarFix by BaubleBar.

The parking situation is a little confusing so I’d recommend parking on the street. Cherin and I headed over to L+O where outdoor seating is available but we opted for indoor – it was too cute to pass up. I ordered a regular mimosa while she had the seasonal which was a strawberry mimosa to start off our brunch. The menu is really interesting – unlike anything I’ve ever had before. I ordered the Sugar and Spice Pork Belly which had berries on top while Cherin ordered the Fennel Leek Bread Pudding.
