Jackrabbit PDX

Jackrabbit PDX

Hello loves,

As part of my two part series of where to stay, shop and eat in Portland, this week I will be talking about Jackrabbit PDX situated in the lobby of The Duniway, A Hilton Hotel.

If you haven’t read my part one post of my Portland adventures you can go here. Looking for a place to stay, shop and eat all in one place? You can stay at the new luxe hotel the Duniway, freshen up after check in and then head to the lobby for a drink (or two). Being situated in the heart of downtown, you are walking distance to eateries, Water Avenue Coffee, Voodoo Donuts, Nordstrom Rack, Nike and plenty of places to roam around and explore the city.

After a day out exploring, we rested up and woke up to the beautiful view of the city. I sat drinking my espresso feeling so much gratitude for being there and got ready to head over to brunch at Jackrabbit.

The interior is absolutely stunning. Beautiful lighting, wood tables and an “eat your heart out” sign right about a library-esque display.

We ordered a whiskey sour and a classic Bloody Mary to have with or brunch.

For brunch, I ordered the savory waffle and my boyfriend ordered the jackrabbit burger.

The Jackrabbit Burger: cheddar, bacon, tomato jam and an egg

The Savory Waffle: buttermilk squash, smoked fish, creme fraiche and salmon roe

Overall a really amazing experience. The smoked fish with the savory waffle was a really interesting combination! The Bloody Mary tasted fantastic — it had a little kick at the end. My boyfriend loved his burger and his cocktail as well. He got it medium rare to really get the taste of it!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this two part series! Let me know your thoughts in the comments if you’d like to see more blog posts like this.

  • This place is the cutest! I love the modern neon sign but also the old feeling with the books and shelves. The food looks so yummy too. I would have been torn between that fabulous burger and the waffles and smoked fish. They both look so appetizing and filling. The drinks look amazing too. I prefer a bloody mary so that would have been my choice too! What a fantastic find! xoxo, Christine

  • I love the presentation of the food at first place! The savory waffle sounds right up my alley. Love anything with squash and Samon Roe. I know my sons would be a big fan of that burger too. Thanks for sharing this great find and we definitely will try this lovely place when we are in town next time.

  • One of my PDX blogger friends alway raves about The Duniway Hotel, telling me I need to come stay there and with your photos and description of everything, I can see why. One thing she failed to mention was this delicious restaurant there! That savory waffle looks every bit of amazing and it’s a good thing brunch/breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I’ll be sure to check this out when I visit!

  • First of all, the name of the restaurant is already cute enough and on top of that they have these adorable rabbit decor that is so extra! The savory waffle looks so delish and I would totally order that. I love the tomato jam on the burger, it sounds like the perfect condiment for that delish burger.
