My Favorite Brunch In Eugene – Agate Alley Bistro
Alright so the question I get asked the most is, what is your favorite place to brunch at in Eugene? Eugene has a ton to offer but nothing has ever really felt like a favorite. I had previously gone to Agate Alley last year with my friend Cherein for our monthly blogger brunch and again for happy hour with my friend Stacie. But hadn’t been since. Finally, I went this past Saturday and was SO in love, I’ve found my place!
It’s hard for someone as picky as I am to really nail down a favorite place. It has to have all the things: ambience, great food, great drinks, great outdoor seating. A place I can imagine myself going to over and over and over again and not get sick of it. The first bite says it all.
Agate Alley Bistro is northwest dining with a touch of Latin and Asian flair. I ordered their special, pork loin eggs Benedict with a mimosa. The mimosa came quick for a very affordable $4. The weather was nice so we sat in their heated patio (there’s also an open one that will be great for warmer weather). Given the fact that it was Spring Break, it wasn’t overly crowded and even though we sat far away the service was amazing. Scroll through for some drool worthy food.
Classic Mimosa: Bubbly & OJ
Bourbon Breakfast: Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Buttershots, OJ & a slice of peppered bacon
Pork Loin Eggs Benedict & Mimosa
Crunchy Car Bomb French Toast: stout battered bread, grilled crunch and topped with Bailey’s Irish whipped cream & Jameson Irish Whiskey maple syrup, side of peppered bacon & Bourbon Breakfast Cocktail
My boyfriend ordered the French toast and said it was amazing! Super filling too. This is not the type of place you will go eat breakfast and leave hungry. So if you want something more savory go for a Benedict (they have 4 different options) and if you want something sweet go for the French toast.
Either way, whatever you decide, you can’t go wrong.
I will definitely be back. Special thanks for Agate Alley for having me! You guys are the best!
If you’re a local, Agate Alley Bistro is located near campus. Great bang for your buck!
So what kind of brunch person are you? Sweet or savory?
