The Best Little Waffle House In Town

The Best Little Waffle House In Town

Hello loves!

I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine’s Day. I had the pleasure of going to brunch at a local joint, Off The Waffle, this past week. Okay let me be clear. I’ve always loved waffles but as of lately it’s all I want to eat. Not sure where this new found love for waffles came from but after going to off the waffle I have to stop myself from indulging in the mornings (LITERALLY SO GOOD).

If you’re a local Eugenian, chances are you’ve already been! Off The Waffle is in the heart of downtown off Willamette Street. With authentic liège waffles and so many amazing options, (PS you can get a mimosa too!) it’s an affordable way to have a quick little brunch on a Saturday or Sunday. Live in Portland? They have a location there too as well as one in South Eugene!

LET’S TALK MENU

My favorite part about off the waffle is the way they designed the menu. Not sure if you’re in the mood for sweet or savory? They’ve got it down in this department. With three sections to pick from: sweet, in between and savory — and of course you can go for the classic O.G. Don’t want just a waffle creation? They’ve also got an omelet with of course a waffle on the side! And guess what? If you love it enough, you can take some home with you too! I have some in the fridge right now and I’m saving them for the weekend.

WHAT I GOT

Honestly, I’m a creature of habit and had already been here but couldn’t remember how I felt about what I ordered. So I did a very me thing and ordered the exact same thing, Goat In The Headlights, a local fave!

Here’s what was in it:

Liège Waffle topped with chèvre (goat cheese), organic avocado, fresh organic basil, two sunny side up organic eggs* topped with paprika and fresh coriander. Drizzled with arbequina olive oil

Of course I had to get a side of fresh squeezed orange juice and I was so glad I did. I was in absolute heaven. Bonus, you can add two strips of bacon. I chose to not get meat and it tasted just fantastic. Then again I’m not a huge fan of bacon ( I KNOW SHOCKER).

WHAT HE GOT

My boyfriend loves his meat and Ron Swanson for that matter. So it was not surprise when he went for the Swanson.

Here’s what was in it:

Liège Wa e topped with four organic eggs* cooked sunny side up, four strips of nitrite/ nitrate-free bacon and a side of maple syrup

BASICALLY, if you love bacon and eggs this one is for you. This one is straight and to the point. Comes with a “shot of syrup” for you to indulge and pour over as you wish.

If you’re a local, take a local at their menu! I’m sure you’ll find something you love. On occasion they’ll have seasonal options that you have to try!

This blog post was in collaboration with Off The Waffle. All opinions are my own.

Have a local spot you love going to? Are you a local and know of a good brunch spot I can write about?

Let me know in the comments below!

  • I used to always only order waffles at a breakfast or brunch place too! These waffles look so good. I like how they have savory and sweet options and how cute is that shot glass of syrup?! So unique! I would totally go for the avocado and goat cheese one too like you did. There is just something about a stacked waffle that makes my mouth water. One of these days I’ll have to go to Eugene and try all these places you recommend! xoxo, Christine

  • What can be better than Waffles? I can eat tons of them! Unfortunately, I’m too far from Eugen, so no chance for me to try those delicious things. But the good thing is, that we have some amazing Belgian waffles with cherries and vanilla sauce, yummy! Love all that you’ve ordered, guys, looks so good to me! And I absolutely adore the quality of your images!

  • I absolutely want to visit this spot, because my kids are big fans of waffles. Unfortunately we don’t have a place like this in San Diego. I’m sure my family would love the idea and I would also love to try different options to eat them!
    Thanks for sharing!

  • I just have to stop reading your posts at the nights.
All pictures of the dishes look so beautiful and mouthwatering that I really feel hungry.
I definitely must visit Off The Waffle, that place serves very picturesque waffles.

  • I love brunch food! It is probably my favorite kind of meal. Of these, I love french toast and waffles the most, I can eat them probably everyday and not get sick of them. This place sounds and looks amazing!! What you ordered, Liège Waffle topped with chèvre sounds amazing, I probably would have gotten that too because I love avocado. Too bad it is in Eugene, my husband and I would prob go every sunday! hahaha
