Spring It On

Spring It On

Hello darlings!

Spring is finally here. Well it has been for a while but here in Oregon all the cherry blossom trees are blooming and the sun is shining! Seriously what a relief. Of course that also means there will be bouts of rain in between but at least we can now look forward to more sunny and warmer days.

Spring slowly crept up on me and I realized I literally have no color. Shocking? Not really. I’ve been not wearing color pretty much as far back as I remember. Black is always my go to. I decided that this season I’d finally change that up. For those of you who didn’t know purple is my favorite color and I’ve been dying for a lavender colored sweater. I’ve collaborated with SheIn and am sporting their purple choker v neck zipper detail sweater with my favorite pair of distressed skinnies from Frame Denim and the boots I just can’t stop wearing from Steve Madden (I swear I need a new pair).

I wore this cute little outfit when I went out with my blogger friend Cherein for our monthly blogger brunch! It’s a good way for us to catch up, stay motivated and take photos of each other (rain or shine).

Take a look at this lovely lavender look.

*Special thanks to Shein for sending me this free product to review. All opinions are my own.

What’s your new favorite piece that you’re adding to your spring wardrobe? Have you invested in some color yet? If so, what color are you rocking this season?

  • I feel like a failure for not shooting in the cherry blossoms yet but I am going to this weekend if it doesn’t rain. Love this color on you.

  • I have this same choker sweater, but I don’t look nearly as good as you do in it. How genius it is to pair it with black distressed jeans? You make me want to buy another pair of jeans…as if I need new ones. I’m personally digging off the shoulder and statement sleeved tops for spring!

  • You look beautiful in this lilac sweater. The zipper details on the elbow is so unexpected and adds a slight edge to the look. I personally LOVE Frame Denim and their jeans are so comfy I could live in them. Cheers to spring time, I’ve visited Oregon a few times and spring is so green and fresh!

The zipper detail in the sleeves is great! Love you hat as well and how you paired with this black jeans and boots.

  • What a lovely sweater! i adore the color! Spring has been sprung in South Carolina and so have the showers too! It’s been a challenge to shoot lately! I bet you had an amazing time catching up with your friend! For me I’ve been focused on fun florals and statement shoes!

  • I hardly wear color too and stick to my neutrals but I love this lavendar choker sweater! It is the perfect spring color and I love the edgy zipper details on the sleeves. I totally know what you mean about old boots that you can’t stop wearing…I have a pair like that too and I love them! This chunky knit is great with the black skinnies and boots. Fab look babe! xoxo, Christine

  • I love Spring! The cherry blossoms have finally bloomed in LA as well! I too am always in Black! Definitely my go to color. I am slowly transitioning into neutrals. The lavender color is beautiful on you. I love that you paired it with a belted fedora!

  • I am loving this gorgeous shade of lavender on you, it looks so pretty. I have always wanted to try a choker sweater, it looks so chic. I love how you paired it with a fedora and distressed jeans. Hope you get lots of sunny days ahead and I can’t wait to see more of your Spring looks.

  • Gorgeous outfit for spring babe. I know what you mean about sporting darker colours year round but the warmth really makes you want to pop on some colour am i right? It’s perfect that purple is your favourite colour because lavender looks amazing on you. I have a very familiar sweater from Fashion Nova and I love the zipper sleeve detailing! People always ask about it and I love that it adds a bit of statement to your top.
As for the cherry blossoms, sigh i love them too but I won’t be seeing them until mid may in Toronto!

  • Such a cute spring look babe! Love that color on you!
I have to admit that I am guilty of doing this as well, I just started shopping for other colors different than black and gray!
Right not I’m loving fun printed pieces, florals and lila!

  • I am loving that lavender purple sweater on you girl! I’m the exact same as you – all black and hardly any color. The go-to NYC look as some may call it. But I’ve always found lavender to be such a pretty color, and it truly looks gorgeous on you. The choker detail is so chic, and the zipper details on the sleeves add the perfect amount of badass-ery that work so well with those distressed jeans (ps love Frame denim as well, your jeans are amazing!). I bet you were one of the best dressed at brunch! The blogger brunch is such a great idea by the way. As for my own Spring wardrobe, I’ll looking to invest in some simple shift dresses and interesting sandals to add some flair 🙂
