Over the course of my birthday last month, the main goal was to try out all the tasty eats that Portland has to offer. If there’s anything I have to say about Portland is that it’s very interesting (in a good way) and it has some darn good food. I definitely plan to go back and visit, actually fairly soon so stay tuned. First stop, Tasty N Alder. I heard through the grapevine that this spot was absolutely delish and a must-have for brunch.
While we may have missed happy hour, we got there just in time for the”mid-day” menu. I ordered a yummy Alder Bowl with a glass of rose while my boyfriend had the steakhouse sandwich (absolutely amazing!) with a Nine Dollar Grown A$$ Milkshake (not featured cause it took a while to get and we were too hungry to wait to take a picture of everything). Anyways, ready to drool over some amazing food? Scroll down…
I know my bowl looks super boring and anticlimactic but it was actually really good. The perfect portion for me and that salsa was the bomb. If you’re ever in the area, you gotta make a stop here.
My recommendation, if you’re hungry go for the steakhouse sammy and if you’re not too hungry go for the bowl.
